Rest In Peace

Please tell me what can i do to make sure that my little kitten who passed away recently rest in peace?

My five month old kitten whom i and my sister were tring to foster passed away on the twenty seventh of this march. It was rather frail and did not eat much. A few days back it unsuccessfully tried to eat a wild lizard that probably poisoned its internal system which eventually led to its untimely demise. I was stupid enough not to realise it earlier and hence could not take it to a vet in time. My rather small, frail yet furry tomcat was the gentlest and most innocent kittens that i have ever come across. Also was very expressive as he used to make those small barely inaudible miaows to let everyone know what he felt about things. I miss him terribly and really feel for him and his suffering especially when he was nearing his end.Just like we mourn for our family members when they leave for their heavenly abode, i too would like all of you to please pray for him so that his soul may rest in peace. Since being a part of this Yahoo community we are very much a family. Thanks a lot.

  1. This happened to me too. I had a one month old kitten (not even old enough to leave his mother!) who was found abandoned and he had a lot of trouble eating and drinking. Also, we took him to the vet and he had this strange muscle parasite that caused him to shake around all the time. He had good days and bad days, but we really thought he would be ok. Then we woke up one morning and he had passed. My heart goes out to you.
  2. dont worry it will. god takes care of us and he takes care of our animals. your little kitten is probably playing with a sweet small child in heaven waiting for you.
  3. Maybe I can ease your mind a little by telling you the lizard probably didn't kill him. My cat catches lizards everyday and I know for a fact that he eats them. He brings half eaten ones home all the time. *gross* But my vet said he will not be poisoned by them. Poison lizards and frogs have a bad taste and are usually bright in color to warn of would-be preditors. **Rest in peace, little hungry kitty. You are hungry no more**
  4. well iv been very experienced with deaths in my pets. what i do to make sure there soul rests in peace and makes me feel better is to barry the kitten under ur favorite tree and through some flowers next to its body. then come back over to ur fav tree and visit him whenever u want too and eventully u will start feeling better. at least it did for me. i hope u get better!
  5. im sure if you say a few prayers every night u have nothing to you deepest sympathy to you
  6. i am so very sorry for your broken heart i understand how you feel i to have had my babies taken from me both animal and my son that was 10 years old you need to try and think of him as only gone from this world god has little angels up there like my son who loves animals he probly took your babie to be with a little angel your babie will never totaly be gone from you as long as you remember him and all the people who have read your story remembers him
  7. Hmmm, my cat brings me lizards ALL the time, seriously, not a week goes by when he doesn't bring me one, and he's never had a problem! However, mourning your cat, as you loved it like family, is natural, just don't blame yourself! If you want, set up a little grave or something in your backyard if you feel this is suitable, or just keep his photo with you. When you are ready, get another one!
  8. i know how you feel i have lost cats and kittens, too. it was very sad and painful to me, but i know that their sweet souls are in heaven now. in their memory i keep their pictures in my wall, as a reminder that all animals are precious. i hope you continue to foster animals because there are many animals that need us to save them from a sad death. i will pray for your kitty, so he can rest in peace. i leave you with my deepest sympathy for you loss.
  9. adopt a kitty from the humane society, give another chance to another kitten to have a better life, I am sure your deceased kitten would really appreciate that. For some reason when you go to adopt a new kitten after one has deceased there will be a moment when you see a cat and know that that is the one!
  10. I will most certainly keep you and your dear kitten in my prayers. He sounds so lovable and sweet and it shows that you truly cared for him. I hope that you can open your heart again to share that much love with another cat/kitten. God bless!!!
  11. My prayers are with you. Adopt an adult cat that has a better immune system and need you much more. Adult cats NEVER get adopted and the will be very greatful.
