I just found out that a really amazing teacher passed away recently due to an accident. (from the high school I graduated from a little more than a year ago.) I personally didn't know him well, but I know that he was dyslexic - and he struggled and persevered. He was admired by his students for what an amazing teacher he was. I hope he felt loved and appreciated in the last moments before his death. He has left behind a family too, a wife, and two daughters. I feel so sad. I really believe he deserved more time in this world. Please take the time to acknowledge amazing teachers like him, because they really do make a huge difference/impact on their students and should be treasured for the amazing human beings they are! Rest in peace, Mr. D, you have left permanent imprints on the hearts of those of us who knew you well, as well as those of us who didn't know you so well. You are amazing! This is an ode to wonderful educators everywhere.
