  1. שֶׁקֶט בְּתוֹךְ הִשְׁעִין
  2. There really is no saying for Rest in Peace. There are religious sayings, though, like Baruch Dayan HaEmet - which means that G-d is True and that He does things for a reason. That's appropriate to say to someone. As for Hebrew letters ברוך דין האמת is how you write that. Good luck!
  3. The saying in Hebrew is pretty close to English: נוח על משכבך בשלום (for a male) נוחי על משכבך בשלום (for a female) This form is as if speaking to the person who has passed away. In 3rd-person, the form is נח על משכבו בשלום (male) נחה על משכבה בשלום (female). Like Tanar wrote, there are many religious phrases in Hebrew. The phrase that most frequently appear on Jewish headstones is תהי נשמתו צרורה בצרור החיים or just ת.נ.צ.ב.ה for short (which means something like "Let his soul be bound with the bond of the living"). ------------------------------------------------------- mindtelepathy got it a bit wrong. That other phrase is "Zichro livracha" (זכרו לברכה) and not "Zhichrono livracha" (זכרונו לברכה). while both translates to "may his memory be blessed", the latter means the decease's memories, the former means the remembrance of the deceased (it's a common mistake). This phrase, however, is not the equivalent of RIP.
  4. It is accepted practice to say the words, "ZICHRONO LEVRACHA", (May his memory be blessed). Most people just use the initials , (Zayin, apostrophe, Lamed) ז"ל . These initials are written immediately after the persons name. It is like writing the English letters "R.I.P" on a gravestone or forum or wherever the deceased`s name is mentioned
