What about Funeral phone calls?

Has anyone noticed as soon as someone becomes elderly they get this funeral arrangement phone call. Who is it that gives these funeral people the elderly persons phone number? Is it someone who has been watching these people turn old or what?

1. They are on a mailing list. Could be gotten from social security or from pharmacies. Also other agencies in the government might sell lists like that.
