How do i get finicial assistance with funeral arrangements if i cannot afford buriel in Tennessee?

Someone i no is dying of an illness and had less than 2 months to live. There family cannot get any type of health insurance because this is a preexisting condition and he is not expected to live past the criteria in order to recieve compensation after death. The family is now stuck with tring to find out how to get the money to bury him in such a short amount of time. Does anyone have any suggestions on what they can do?.

1. Cremation can be done for about $500 and get the ashes in a box. They can keep the ashes buy an urn later if they like. If they can't afford that the county will do it for them free and intern the ashes at a later time. They can have a potluck memorial reception at home to celebrate his life.
2. You could check with the county DHS office, if they are poor enough then they would qualify for a county burial.
