How is God the author of peace(rest), and not the author of confusion?

- I amy lying here trying to understand your question.
- If that was that, then people would not go to church, give money and make the pope and his minions rich. Priests wouldn't rape children either.
- Because he is the author of peace, not confusion. If we all lived like he says to the world would be a peaceful utopia. It is the devil and those who live his way that cause confusion, strife, and destruction in the world.
- He's the author of both, but because we seek peace and rest, we focus on that.
- It is assumed that if you follow God's word then you will have peace and rest not confusion. Most people who are honestly following God's word (not front'n) find the peace/rest and not confusion. However there are the old sayings, "God will not give you more than you can handle", "Lay your burden down", etc.
- Satan is the author of confusion. It's his MO to try and confuse people about God, and deceive them into believing lies. Lies about God, lies about the Bible, etc. To totally surrender to God's will and stop struggling with the burdens of sin and the cares of this world is to find peace and rest and abundant life. It's just that here in this fallen world, that's difficult if not impossible to do consistently. People wrongly blame God for things that are now within the devil's dominion. Those of us trusting God for salvation and eternal life take comfort in knowing that God is in control regardless of the current circumstances. Sometimes the peace and rest is the "peace that passes all understanding" within the midst of the storm, that comes from having the presence of the Holy Spirit within us to comfort and guide us.
- God is the author of peace. The devil is the author of confusion. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” . Thus we see right from the beginning that this “spirit of fear” does not come from God. 2 Timothy 1:7 The devil's tools are deceit., misunderstanding, confusion, impatience, anger, hate, greed, discontentment and similar negative characteristics, all working within greed, selfishness, unconcern for the welfare of others, etc.
- These 2 verses say it all. Confusion is of man. 1Cr 14:33 For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. Jam 3:16 For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work. The reference to "all churches of the saints" refer to those who truly KNOW Christ, not to those who call themselves christian or those "churches" that do not preach and teach the true gospel of Jesus Christ, the depravity of man, the holiness of God, salvation by grace through faith, and condemnation to all those who choose (of their own free will) to reject "the only name given under heaven whereby men must be saved."
- That is easy....and I must express to you that I am NOT religious. I have studied many religions and have come away from all of them. I am now just Spiritual... I believe in God yet don't conform to any of these groups anymore.... ok... you see, God LIVES inside of you. You are as one with him! Kinda like the trinity that the Catholics teach. Accept you must allow yourself to realize this. It is SO simple that we tend to make it confusing by seeking out other information to try and explain it! You already know what to do in order to rest. You/God are the author. You already know what you really want. It's when you let your mind start to wander and you bring in all the if's and buts and other issues and situations that you start to get confused! I'm sure you can understand all this. I'm also sure you will love this webpage... the layout changed and I can't find the direct link to it, but if you go to mine and click on GOD you can check out lots of great stuff!!!! If you do anything else today....go there...
- Not sure I understand your question, but will attempt to respond...Jesus Christ became our rest, He became our sabbath...this is 100% scriptural and I challenge you to study this out. God gives us, through His Spirit (which He is), the power of a sound mind. I believe a christian can be of sound mind and still experience confusion during times of trials and tribulations...but the confusion does not come from God. Seeking God for knowledge, wisdom and understanding will bring enlightenment, dispels confusion and strengthens ones Faith.
- "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made." (Gen 2:2) 'Guess He was practically orderly when He created everything in Genesis 1.
- The Ten Commandments states it all.
