Funeral Arrangements?

I am 20 yrs old and a college student trying to set up funeral arrangements for my grandmother. Does anyone know the average funeral cost? I know it is pretty high up there but am not sure for certain how much I am looking at. Also does anyone know how much cremation costs?

1. cremation is around $1,000 funerals can be around $2,000
2. My mother passed last year & I found myself worrying about the cost of the funeral. The prices my vary from 1,500$ to 3,000$. In most states the Government has Funeral assistance programs, and the Funeral home can work with you finical issues. My heart & prayers go out to you and your family.
