What is the difference between North American food rituals at funerals and Chinese food rituals?

This is for an assignment I have to do and I can't find any answers on the internet about this. I need to know the customs of food rituals at funerals in North America and China. I need to know the similarities and differences. I've looked all over the internet for this but I can't find anything. Can you help me?

1. I've been to quite a few Chinese funerals and I never noticed anything special that was rigorously enforced as regards to food...good question that has me thinking. One thing I have noticed is that people over here are just like anywhere else: there are complex belief systems and customs that most are aware of but very few really take the time to strictly conform to these rules. It's more like a tradition that people follow out of good manners or habit.
